Dyslexia therapy is a class which meets 3x a week and employs a Certified Academic Language Therapist who uses an  intensive reading program to move our dyslexic students from non-readers to readers.

We use the Take Flight curriculum written by the staff of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. The retail cost to hire an Academic Language Therapist for your child is between $500 - $1500 a month depending on the therapist’s hourly rate. LCCA is subsidizing the cost so that we can help homeschool students in our community.

To qualify, you need to have documentation of a dyslexic disorder OR be two-three grade levels below in reading. Our $100 assessment will provide you with this information.

You do not need to be a full time student at Legacy to take this class. You will be invoiced for any Take Flight workbooks that your child will need.

Reading Therapy students will need to wear a Legacy spirit shirt on school days. Spirit shirts are available for purchase three times a year through a Taggteam sports online store.
